Until 2000, VBNTS parties were often gargantuan events that drew crowds of up to 8,000 people. After so much success, Luis decided to take the show on the road and did events in St. Louis, Milwaukee, Detroit, Madison, Ohio and Nashville. Luis was a pioneer event promoter, breaking a lot of ground and locking down many of the dance music industrys top DJs and live acts by booking them first and fostering solid working relationships. From 1996-2001, Luis was the EDM talent buyer and promoter for the legendary Chicago clubs Smart Bar and Metro. That's were Luis learned to DJ. He watched, learned and eventually played. Throughout the last 4 years, Luis has traveled to many different cities across the U.S and has been giving the opportunity to play alongside many of his hero's. There were many unforgettable nights with Louie Vega, Carl Cox, Cassius and Thomas Bangalter to name a select few.

The turn of the millennium was a great time for dance music. The Metro was always sold out; people knew the vibe would be thick and the music kicking. Luis and his brother Joey knew they needed a radio outlet for their music and lifestyle, so they conceptualized, established and launched Sonic Boom on Q101. Converting the unconverted was the main goal. The first show to air was a night at the Metro with Coxy. You could hear the people cheering and screaming through the record stylus. Sonic Boom had great success it was the second most-listened-to program in its time slot. The successes of Sonic Boom lead to the opportunity to play music on a national, digital medium. Luis moved to the Chocolate City in 2001 to work at XM Radio, where he is currently Program Director of The Move channel 80 and XM Chill channel 84. XM Radio has gone from zero listeners to 14+ million in five short years. The Move has showcased great music and talent...you need to listen and get down. The Move has featured live broadcasts from Detroit (DEMF, Movement, In-Fuse) Miamis WMC, the Love Parade in San Fran and Philly to name a few. Now Luis is poised to make the move to New York City where he will continue to work for XM and spread the gospel of house music!

Moving from the East Coast to the West in 1997 to San Francisco - Mason helped to co-found Thump Radio a collective based around the SF trance scene that featured radio, events and web. Mason quickly took hold of the chill out chambers of the early underground warehouse parties and began spinning the psychedelic releases, Pork Recordings, InnerChill and many more down tempo gems. Part of the chill out duo for Thump Radio known as Masonic & Dob - he and the partners of Thump Radio would launch the weekly chill out party on Sunday nights at the old Backflip, at the Phoenix Hotel. This party ran for close to a year and was called "The Other Side" taken from the other side of the heavy sounds of Thump Radio as well as influenced by friends of Thump Radio - The Cocteau Twins. Thump Radio expanded into major FM markets, XM Satellite and beyond.

Thump Radio would begin to take up much more time when syndication began and chill out took a back seat for close to a year until good friend Dahi owner of ANU on 6th Street would invite him for a free beer a few weeks after they opened. While enjoying a brand new venue a mix was playing by a DJ called Sinukus (Stephen Wilson). Thanks to an introduction by Dahi; Mason & Sinukus started their successful Friday weekly Happy Hour called "Thump Chill" that welcomed guests such as Jondi & Spesh, Garth, Didje Kelli, Felix The Dog, Jonathan Ojeda, Ben Doren, Kaya Project, Ambient Mafia and many more.

From the success of the weekly came a new opportunity - a weekly radio show with Alice 97.3 FM in San Francisco. Mason helped to create and launch the show successfully on Alice which still airs today. After parting ways with Alice, Mason moved to Los Angeles and has since started his own production company called MDR Productions. One of the company's projects is a new weekly chill show known as Below Zero. This creation was started by Mason and he quickly looked to his friends for help such as Sinukus (Stephen Wilson), Didje Kelli, Jason Teplitsky of Blowfish Sushi. In a time when the world needs to be chilled out, the sounds Below Zero are now here every Sunday night on 92.7 FM (8pm - Midnight.) Now, Mason has joined forces with Red Bull once again after helping to produce several shows in Miami, Los Angeles and San Francisco for events such as Love Parade, Ascension, Winter Music Conference and the Red Bull Music Academy - Seattle. This is the next level bringing his radio experience and relationship of XM as well as his long standing relationship with Red Bull to help combine and explore the world of dance music.
